Michael Yanny

With a background in animation, Michael started out directing promos at the BBC and was part of the launch of E4, picking up several PROMAX awards along the way. He continues to ply his trade as a freelance director working for an array of prominent brands, broadcasters, agencies and production companies.

He has a way with acting talent, often casting fresh and ethnically diverse characters. He's equally skilled at bringing out the humour in a script and drawing on the authenticity of the characters.

His latest short film was screened at numerous BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying film festivals worldwide, including BFI London Film festival and Flickerfest in Australia, winning a number of accolades including the Discovery award at LOCO London Comedy Film Festival.

He currently has his first feature film optioned and going to market, has two TV comedies in development and regularly performs a character stand-up act in clubs around London.
